Chennai, November 5, 2026: SRM Easwari Engineering College, Chennai, successfully organised Easwari Startup Peravai 2026, billed as Tamil Nadu’s largest student startup summit in association with the R. Shivakumar Research and Innovation Foundation on November 5 and 6, 2026. The two-day entrepreneurial extravaganza featured an investment commitment of ₹1 crore and provided an exciting platform for aspiring student entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative ideas and transform them into viable business ventures.
The first day of the summit, November 5, witnessed a grand inauguration ceremony. The summit was inaugurated by the Honourable Thiru. P. Mathan Raja, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Thiru. Singai G. Ramachandran, Chairman, StartupTN, Department of MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu, and Thiru. Sharath Nambiar, Director of Trade and Investment, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), attended as Special Invitees with more than 100 guests.
The inauguration took place in the esteemed presence of Dr R. Shivakumar, M.D., Chairman, SRM Group of Institutions, Chennai Ramapuram and Trichy and Dr P Deiva Sundari, Principal, Easwari Engineering College.
Easwari Startup Peravai 2026 inauguration brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, industry leaders, investors, innovators and academic experts to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem among students. The first day summit featured a diverse range of activities, including startup pitch showcases, hackathons, design thinking bootcamps, marketing masterclasses, panel discussions, live podcasts and entrepreneurship-focused sessions.
The key highlights of the First day included the Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (CUMTA) Hackathon, Peravai Pattimandram, Pitch Perfect – Startup Pitch Showcase, Rise Her – TN Rise Women Cohort, and panel discussions on emerging industrial trends, investment opportunities and entrepreneurship beyond metropolitan cities.
The second day of the summit, November 6, will continue with an exciting line-up of activities designed to inspire innovation and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit among students. The second day’s highlights include the Pitch Perfect Finale, Scale Up Studio, insightful sessions on sales and marketing, and engaging panel discussions on investment opportunities and the role of women in entrepreneurship. The two-day summit will conclude with a grand valedictory ceremony.
