Chennai, 31 December, 2022: Colors Tamil, Viacom18’s Tamil Entertainment channel, has great news for all Tamil-speaking cricket lovers as the channel is all padded up to telecast live the SA20, South African newest T20 league, starting January 10, 2023.
Having bagged the satellite rights to telecast the league, Viacom18 is going one step extra to treat its Tamil fans, broadcasting all the matches with Tamil commentary.
The league features six teams playing each other twice in a round-robin stage before the semis and final. In all, 33 matches will be played over four weeks. The six teams – Joburg Super Kings, Pretoria Capitals, Durban’s Super Giants, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Paarl Royals and MI Cape Town, are owned by groups that have teams across various global leagues including the Indian Premier League.
