~ Veteran actor gets second dose of COVID vaccine at Fortis Malar, Adyar
Veteran actor and politician Karthik, popularly known as Navarasa Nayagan, took his second dose of COVID (Covishield) vaccine at Fortis Malar, Adyar today. The 60-year-old actor urges all the eligible ones not to delay their safety by delaying or missing the vaccine.
Sharing the image of obtaining his second dose he requested to show a deaf ear to all the misinterpretations on COVID vaccine. He thanked all the frontline workers who are on ground working day and night for the safety and welfare of the people.
He also said that “we took pride as a responsible citizen by voting recently, now I request you to be more responsible by ensuring safety of the dear and near ones by taking the vaccine. I also request all to extend your cooperation in following the prescribed precaution measures (wearing mask, social distancing and washing hands) and contain the virus.”
Speaking about vaccine Mr.C.K. Nageswaran, Facility Director, Fortis Malar Hospital said that “both the vaccines are safe to take. Vaccine is one of the best option available to safeguard us from the deadly virus. So far, more than 14cr doses of vaccine have been administered in India. The government has also decided to inoculate everyone above 18 years from May 1. Hence, I request cooperation of all the citizens to fulfill our government’s mission ‘COVID safe India.”
