It is also a kidney transplant center and one of the first hospitals in India to pioneer Transperineal Biopsy and UroLift procedure in treatment of BPH.

To encourage and educate the future Robotic Surgeons, we launched the “CURI Hospital Robotic Urologic Surgery Fellowship” in the year 2020 as a mark of our first anniversary. This fellowship programme provides hands-on training to mould surgeons in the various aspects of Robotic Urologic Surgery. CURI hospital has been recognized as a training center for Vattikutti fellowship in (urology)We feel proud that we have trained many Robotic Surgeons through our fellowships, who in turn have gone out to spread the ethics and skill learnt at our hospital to the benefits of patients in their part of the country.
At this juncture, CURI Hospital deems it as its responsibility to create awareness among the future Robotic Surgeons and people about robotic surgery. CURI Hospital celebrated over 3 days. First day, awareness and live demonstration of the Da Vinci Robot was done for college students and staff on June 2nd. On Saturday, 3rd June 2023 CME program was conducted for Urologists an post graduates in association with Madras Urological Association. Our surgeons demonstrated how the robot works and its advantages over laparoscopy and open surgery. This event helped give hands on training session on Robotic Stimulator . On 4th June a public awareness programme was conducted where Mrs. Akhila Srinivasan, Director, Shriram Life Insurance Co. Ltd was the Chief guest. Cancer survivors who underwent robotic surgery also spoke about their experience and rehabilitation after Robotic Surgery.
