FICCI FLO Signed MoU with ANEW at ‘Mad About Madras’ Event in the Presence of Tamil Nadu Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), a leading all-India forum for women, embarked on a transformative partnership with the Association for Non-traditional Employment for Women (ANEW), a registered NGO dedicated to the upliftment of underprivileged women. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place at the ‘Mad About Madras (FLO Interstate 2023)’ event.

FLO’s collaboration with ANEW was a significant step toward enhancing skills and education for underprivileged women. The objective of the MoU was to elevate the learning experience of ANEW’s beneficiaries pursuing the Basic IT program. FLO, with its extensive expertise, offered specialized courses, including Canva and ChatGPT, to further enrich the skills and career prospects of these women.

The signing ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the Tamil Nadu Minister of IT and Digital Service, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, along with Chennai chairperson and National President FLO, Ms Sudha Shivakumar.

About this partnership – Raji Raju, Chairperson of FLO Chennai, expressed her enthusiasm by stating that “This collaboration reflected FLO’s unwavering commitment to empowering women through education and skill development. Together with ANEW, we were dedicated to creating a brighter future for these amazing women, providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in their careers.”

As part of its 30-year celebration, FLO unveiled the ‘Pride of FLO – 30 years’ book during the event. This commemorative book reflected FLO’s journey in empowering women through entrepreneurship, skill enhancement, and education.

The event promised an engaging program that included a choir performance by FLO Chennai, the felicitation of Sudha Raja of Sargam choir, and the unveiling of the MOU between FLO and ANEW. The signing ceremony was followed by a presentation on the scope of the MoU by representatives from both organizations.

The program also featured the felicitation of Sudha Shivakumar, FLO National President, and a special address by the honorable Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan. The event culminated in a press conference with key representatives from FLO.

The MoU outlined the collaborative efforts between FLO and ANEW, emphasizing the non-monetary nature of the agreement. FLO offered courses, provided content and trainers, and issued certificates to beneficiaries.

ANEW, on the other hand, integrated these courses into its existing programs, provided necessary infrastructure, and identified beneficiaries.

The agreement also highlighted the non-exclusivity of the relationship, respecting each party’s intellectual property rights.
