Dr. J. Radhakrishnan IAS, Principal Secretary – Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu Inaugurated and Unveiled 3 RO Plants, an Initiative by RCC Platinum Trust to Tamilnadu Govt. Multi Super Speciality Hospital.

RCC Platinum Trust installed 3 RO Plants on February 22 nd 2021. On this occasion, RO-based water purification plants were inaugurated, by unveiling the plaque. The RO plants were inaugurated and put to service by Dr. J. Radhakrishnan IAS, Principal Secretary – Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of TamilNadu, in the presence of Dr. Narayanbabu, Director of Medical Education, Dr. Vimala, Director -TNGMSSH, Dr. S Jayalakshmi, HoD – Nephrology TNGMSSH, Dr. Ananda Kumar, Nodal Officer, TNGMSSH and Smt. Kamala Kankaria of Manoharaj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust.

Of the 3 RO plants inaugurated today, 2 are mobile units which will be directly used in treatment of patients undergoing dialysis. A larger 1,000 Ltr RO plant is being installed for use in the Central Sterile Services Department. These inaugurations took RCC Platinum Trust’s installations under Paani project to 66. These projects were installed with a significant contribution from donors including M/s Manohar Raj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust.

RCC Platinum Trust took a significant milestone in its social service initiatives. In presence of its members and distinguished guests from the society, and MoU was signed between RCC Platinum Trust and M/s Manohar Raj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust. As per the MoU, the latter have agreed to support RCC Platinum’s Paani project over the next 5 Years, with an annual contribution of INR 15 lakhs towards installing of RO water purification plant, under which RCC Platinum Trust will install at least 7 RO Plants every year.

The Managing Trustee, Abhinay Mehta, presented a report on various activities of the Trust during the year. The President of the Trust Harish Srisrimal thanked all the doctors, donors and members who supported the installation.

About RCC Platinum Trust RCC platinum trust is an association of Rajasthani youngsters. For the last decade and half we have been working on multiple philanthropic activities. Over the years, RCC Platinum Trust has been serving the society through its social outreach initiatives such as distribution of blankets and survival kits, as well as installation of RO water plants. RCC Platinum Trust has distributed over 65,000 blankets to date, and with today’s installations have completed installing 66 RO Plants across Tamil Nadu. Most RO Plants have been installed at schools; as schools are closed, we are starting to install RO Plants this year at hospitals as well. The main donor for RCC Platinum Trust’s Paani project is Manoharraj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust who have supported us over that last 5 years and have agreed to continue as our donors for another 5 years, committing at least 35 more Ro plants

Manohar Raj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust has been supporting projects that provide clean drinking water to the society. Since 2010, this Trust has supported multiple RO water projects with capacities totalling close to 40,000 litres a day of clean drinking water at public places such as schools, hospitals, dharamshalas and cowsheds.
